I joined Hope in 2017 as an undergraduate when I had to do a mandatory community development project. A friend of mine recommended Hope and it was one of the best decisions I made in volunteering.
I volunteered with the events & programs team as well as the media team in 2017 and I learnt how to draw up programs and fix events.
The most interesting bit of it for me was the amazing volunteers I met as well as the leaders who were willing to be taught.
2018 summer camp was most memorable for me because I didn’t only volunteer but coordinated volunteers’ recruitment process, managed volunteers in camp, and created an appraisal system for volunteers.
