Simbo is Policy Programs Manager for Facebook in Africa. Prior to that, she used to lead
Partnerships, Communications and Diversity initiatives for Grow with Google in Sub Saharan Africa where she’s helped connect more than 4 million African youth and women to digital skills with over half of those being impacted via better jobs or increased business revenues.

Simbo is based in Lagos, Nigeria and is committed to increasing digital inclusion (skills &
devices) for Africans as a whole and for the African girl and women in particular. She was a Startup Success Manager for the Google Launchpad Africa Accelerator Program where she supported startups across Africa to connect with the mentorship and expertise they needed to scale.

Simbo has substantial marketing experience that cuts across the Consumer
Goods and Technology Industry, she is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing
CIM (UK) and has worked on programs across various countries on the continent.

Simbo is committed to community impact, she is the External Communications lead for the Lagos hub of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shaper Community, she was a director at Slum2School Africa where she helped support children in indigent communities to complete basic and secondary education and she also mentors young girls in STEM via organisations such as Women in Technology and AfroTech Girls.
Simbo was listed as one of 50 Corporate Women to watch in Nigeria in 2020 by Leading Ladies Africa.
